Project: Terra House
Location: Garopaba, Brazil
Type: Single-Family Residence
Stage: Built
Description:
Rooted in nature, “Terra House” is a one-story retreat designed to embrace the sun, the wind, and the land. Located in Garopaba, a coastal town in southern Brazil, this home was envisioned as a self-sufficient, nurturing refuge — balancing simplicity, sustainability, and soul.
The project was fully developed by the Nudesign studio, with every decision guided by natural rhythms and passive design principles. Solar panels power the house. A green roof protects it. Cross ventilation and sunlight define the interior experience. Every material was chosen for thermal comfort and environmental respect.
Concept Pillars:
☀️ Sun-responsive architecture (orientation, window sizing, natural light)
🌿 Green roof for temperature regulation and biodiversity
🌬️ Natural airflow through cross-ventilation strategies
🔋 Self-sufficiency via solar energy
🌎 Materials selected for thermal protection and reduced impact
“A house that listens to the land and breathes with the sky.”
